Aelia Wellness retreat might be just what you need!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span id=\"urn:enhancement-c78f63d6-fab0-89bd-31c9-38d700344ff7\" class=\"textannotation disambiguated wl-thing\">Spa<\/span> treatments and wellness resort stays are usually something I reserve for birthdays. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Not that I would mind getting pampered every weekend, but this little indulgence feels wrong for me if there is no particular reason for it. How sad, I know.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>One cold winter weekend, I decided to break the tradition and visit the Aelia Wellness Retreat. It&#8217;s a bit further off from Paphos, but it was unique enough to make the drive worthwhile.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After a two-hour drive from Paphos, and a bit of searching around for the place, we finally found it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Without further delays, let me introduce you to <a href=\"https:\/\/aeliawellness.com.cy\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Aelia Wellness Location<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Located just on the outskirts of <a href=\"\/category\/nicosia\/\">Nicosia<\/a>, this retreat is a new addition to the <span id=\"urn:enhancement-f54da2a9-769f-2007-c841-7142dec972e9\" class=\"textannotation disambiguated wl-thing\">spa<\/span> and wellness scene of the capital city. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It offers a rural retreat option for those who wish to escape the busy life in the city and discover their inner zen. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The location was a little odd for me, it felt like it was in the middle of nowhere &#8211; but not in a good sense. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There was some sort of farm with tractors visible from the entrance and literally nothing but the main traffic road next to it. No trees or greenery, apart from the ones planted at the resort.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It felt like someone was trying to build some kind of oasis in the middle of the desert. It&#8217;s a shame really because you don&#8217;t have an option to take a stroll in nature or relax somewhere outdoors while you&#8217;re at the resort. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Aelia_Wellness_Retreat_Resort_Design\"><\/span>Aelia Wellness Retreat: Resort Design<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The retreat offers stunning spacious <span id=\"urn:enhancement-835fd627-d018-c3dc-42f4-86fe894c0d66\" class=\"textannotation disambiguated wl-thing\">rooms<\/span> heavily influenced by <span id=\"urn:enhancement-6e5135aa-529a-560a-e482-69ee9495292e\" class=\"textannotation disambiguated wl-thing\">Scandinavian design<\/span> and quest for simplicity while using high-quality natural materials. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The aesthetics were the first thing that drew my attention to this place because it looks very different from similar offerings in Nicosia or <a href=\"https:\/\/cyprusescape.com\/restaurants-limassol-cyprus\/\">Limassol<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Every corner of the retreat showcases immaculate attention to detail and the beautiful harmony of design with nature. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Entrance_to_Aelia_Wellness\"><\/span>Entrance to Aelia Wellness<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The entrance to the building is lined with a rope walkway, which takes to you a small reception area and that leads further to the central round courtyard where you find doors to rooms, spa, and <span id=\"urn:enhancement-f1e80a75-ddeb-de56-6d9c-ac3ef72877da\" class=\"textannotation disambiguated wl-thing\">restaurant<\/span>. color palette gives the room a very comforting feel and make you feel immediately relaxed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The bathroom was also spacious and equipped with fluffy white bathrobes. <\/p>\n\n\n<div tableware &#8211; I was loving the recycled glass plates! <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can choose between the indoor part which features comfortable sofas (ever so stylish) or the outdoor cover terrace. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The menu was very impressive and refreshingly unique. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We picked green garden pasta and pork for lunch and then beef stew and truffle oil glazed salmon for dinner this round courtyard from where you access all the different rooms and facilities within the resort.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The courtyard features a lounge area with plenty of options to get comfortable and relax while listening to the sound of the trickling water around you. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The whole design of the space feels a bit odd, kind of like walking to IKEA store with randomly placed pieces of wl-thing\">spa<\/span> <span id=\"urn:enhancement-bafce12d-eaef-c1ce-09ce-f220239daf8f\" class=\"textannotation disambiguated wl-thing\">room<\/span> is like a scene from heaven &#8211; long fluffy cotton branches hanging from the ceiling lining up the whole hallway, with angelic soft white curtains blowing in the air as you walk into your treatment <span id=\"urn:enhancement-9540059c-4f9b-7ec3-bf61-d9b645d37996\" class=\"textannotation disambiguated wl-thing\">room<\/span>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Shame I didn&#8217;t have the camera with me to take a fairly isolated from the closest civilization, if you&#8217;re staying there for more than one night, you might end up eating in the same restaurant in the premises.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Which is not a bad thing, if you don&#8217;t mind. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For our dinner, we had a warming winter stew and I had a salmon steak, beautifully cooked and presented.<\/p>\n\n\n<div restaurant food were all great. For me it was just missing the connecting point to nature. If you come to a wellness retreat, you expect at least some kind of outdoor space to relax.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Given that it&#8217;s so remote, I would have expected it to be located in more lush surroundings, offering the much-needed connection to nature, and at least an outdoor pool. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Since my visit, they have expanded to a large selection of <a href=\"https:\/\/aeliawellness.com.cy\/wellness-retreats\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">themed wellness retreats<\/a>, and they now also host events and weddings. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Aelia_Wellness_Retreat\"><\/span>Aelia Wellness Retreat<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>location: a short drive away from <a href=\"https:\/\/cyprusescape.com\/gym-concept-nicosia-cyprus\/\">Nicosia<\/a>, close to Tseri village south of Strovolos.
